Hotel Schanzenstern

After a long time of planning we could celebrate the opening of a "different" hotel in Hamburg. In reconstructing the former production rooms we wanted to realize an ecological concept.

Now, for example, we have an installation that uses rain-water instead of drinking-water for toilets, washing-machines etc. In our kitchen we use organic vegetables, fruit, meat and other biological products.

You won´t find TV´s or telephones in our rooms, in order to offer you a low-budget accommodation...

Our Rooms...

... are on the 4th, 5th an 6th floor. You have a great view there: at the height of about 30 meters you can even see the harbour - you won´t be able to see the North Sea, though: it is too far away!

Below, on the first floor you will find our restaurant. Your breakfast is served here in the morning.
Our kitchen works mostly with certified organic foods. In the summer you can enjoy our garden cafe.

We offer:

• 11 single and double rooms (shower on the corridor);
• 8 three- to five-bed rooms with shower;
• several rooms equipped for handicapped persons;
• restaurant/café (with a garden in the summer);
• organic breakfast buffet;
• central and quiet location.
